Budget Airlines & Vacation/Holiday Ideas

Alliecat

Does anybody know any other budget airlines flying in/out of Riyadh besides NAS??

How about vacation ideas?

I've decided to make a bunch of 9 day trips in the upcoming year to take advantage of this location and am working on my 'bucket list' (no, not before I die; rather, before I leave Saudia lol).

List so far:

Turkey
Vietnam
Thailand
Jordan
Morocco
Syria
Lebanon
India

last but not least, KATMANDU!

Anybody have any ideas/information to share?  Shukran! ;)

Allie - I can give you some info on the trips we just took to Jordan & Turkey.  Be sure to put Petra and the Dead Sea on your list for when you go to Jordan and I would recommend that you stay at  one of the hotels on the Dead Sea for at least a day or two.  I can also recommend a Driver - if you are so inclined, especially if you dive to Petra or you can take the bus.  We really didn't do too much in Turkey.  Stayed in Istanbul for the weekend.  Took a boat ride on the Bosporus River, visited the Blue Mosque & surrounding sites and shopped at the Grand Bazaar (old Souqs) - Its massive!  But there is so much more to do in the country....  Not sure where our next adventure will be....  Looking forward to a state side visit next week.  Enjoy your visit with your mom!

I wont help much since im not much of a travler as of yet. but I loved cathay pacific. the service is excellent, but the prices are not so impressive.

There is Sama airlines as well for budget. I suggest Oman as well in that list (Salalah to be precise), especially during the Monsoons. The pics I have seen of that place are amazing.

Istanbul is a must (if you haven't been there yet) We stayed 7 days and didn't have enough time to enjoy the city. Flew by Turkey airlines, booked hotels  at booking.com - very good ones in the centre, at very-very reasonable price. I like your list, spent 2 months in Egypt but still  want to go somewhere.

I'd love to! But I'm burdened with 2 kids, so I'm not a good company for travelling. For 7 years already we've been visiting only beach countries -Turkey, Spain, Egypt, Tunisia. Only in Istanbul we were without  kids, but I liked it so much not because of it - it's really worth coming. I was much more impressed by Istanbul than by Paris.
Write down pls  what destination you chose. I'll be looking forward to your vacation report - we also plan our holidays for November.

I want to go to Sri Lanka - close and very cheap. India is very cool, but not for a lone traveller.
