Is it possible to cross Saudi/UAE border by foot?

Hi,

I live in Saudi Arabia and my brother lives in Dubai. My parents are here with me in Saudi Arabia (on a family visit visa) and they are planning to go to Dubai to visit my brother there. Is it possible that I drive them up to the Saudi/UAE border, they cross the border by foot and then my brother picks them up on the other side of the border?

1) The land borders are closed from Saudi side.聽 Depending on your convincing skills, they may let you exit IF you possess a resident permit for the country you want to exit to
2) There is no crossing on foot for most land borders to begin with
