Bachelor/Married status

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone could provide info on the status bachelor/married. I can find information on married status and single status but not the aforementioned.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

In employment contracts, right?
Bachelor and single are the same.
So if a contract states single/married status then how would that play?
This varies company to company and here is the most common practice.

Single Status:
- 2 basic salaries as housing allowance or company provided single status accommodation (single or shared room)
- One vacation ticket annually
- Medical insurance for the employee only

Married Status
- 3 basic salaries as housing allowance
- Up to 4 vacation ticket annually [the number depends on the company policy]
- Medical insurance for the employee and his family members
- HR supports to get family visa issued
Thankyou, I understand them as separate status' but when the heading includes both i don't understand what that actually means. Will my wife be covered to come across when she is ready?
That means your contract is upgradable to a 'married' status one. As soon as you get married, you'll start getting the above mentioned benefits.
I am married just now, so when my wife joins me in Jubail my benefits would change?
Medical insurance and vacation tickets: Yes
Housing: Will they provide it or are they offering monetary support?
With Sadara bachelor married status gives you 3 flights back home each year to see your family. It is also easy to change to married status when your wife wants to move over.

Guys, thank you so much with this.

With the move coming up pretty quick I just wanted to get this confirmed.  I was just concerned that when I went I would never see my wife for long enough.

It was explained I would just speak to my line manager who would begin the process for when she was ready to come over.

Stu13, can I ask where you got that information from?
From fircroft and the presentation by the Sadara HR guy at Newcastle when I went for the interview. Pm me if you want a phone number to have a chat.
Ive sent you a message Stu13.
