Anyone commute from Khobar to Jubail on a daily basis for work?

I will be on assignment in Jubail, but I prefer to live in Khobar.聽 My coworkers think this is crazy.聽 Am I?

History: Lived in Jubail for 8 mos in 2013 so I have a good idea of travel, traffic and the craziness that goes with it.聽 I will have a driver and car.

Logic: My family will be with me this time for about 3 yrs.聽 I chose a school in Khobar because I think it is a bit better than in Jubail.聽 I am also closer to the causway to Bahrain.聽 More things to do in Khobar for the wife.聽 Very nice compound compared to the ones available in Jubail.

I am just asking for opinions..Is it worth the drive of 1 hr 15min to and from work everyday?

I have friends who did the same thing you did, for the same reason. Travelling from Khobar-Jubail-Khobar was okay for them on he first few months. After a 4-5 months, they started to complain of the long travel everyday specially during a bad weather like, sandstorm, fog and strong wind.
