Good luck on your search.
I actually have a lot of female friends who work at the same exact hospital! I used to work there at the communication department. My friends work as nurses at the ER though. The working hours can change and there are shifts sometimes as well. They have to do night shifts every other month. The accommodation offered by the hospital is really good. It's also inside the hospital area. The hospital is the best and biggest hospital in Saudi Arabia.
Good luck with work here. let me know if you needed more information

I really have no idea of what to expect! It doesnt how many books I read, I suppose I'll only know once I get there!
That truly does help! It'll be a great change from working within the NHS! Even though it's not that bad! Lol!

My background in ed too but with paeds! I didn't get ed position coz I'm paeds trained! I'll be on a ward!
I am also going to be joining the KFSH team in late January...no ED though
. I'll be on one of the units. Sumi, are you already there? If so, how do you like it? Any words of advice? Can't wait for a new adventure!

hope you like it in here .. welcome to KSA
how are you? I'm presently in the Philippines but according to our agency we will be deployed for King Faisal second week of February. How's the accommodation and work? Can you please share your experience from the time you arrived in the Hospital? Thank you.

thank you.. The truth is I am already an ex-abroad from Madinah and since King Faisal is new to me so I would like to ask the experience of our dear friends working there. Thank you
I've been in Riyadh just about a month now. I'm a flight paramedic supervisor working with the Security Defense Services. My wife will be joining me here hopefully in a few months and she is an RN. She is hoping to get on at one of the hospitals once she gets a little acclimated.  After reading the posts here I was wondering if any of you RNs presently working at King Fasil know if there are any openings for an RN. If so, how would she go about applyhing once she gets here? I would appreciate any information that could help her get a job especially if King Fasil is the best hospital to work at. Thanks

Just remember that some companies (like mine) would require your to return to the point of origin and re-apply with an agency from that side. so if u can arrange it from now its better. there are recruitment agents back in your home country that she can apply, make sure that when she applies she should specify which hospital she wants to work.
I'm not quite sure I understand. Do you mean she has to apply from where she is in the U.S.? I sent her the link for the hospital application. I told her to fill it out and go from there.

Many healthcare professionals here in the ME have come through this agency and I know they are above board.
Best of luck.
imraan007 wrote:Ok if u filled in the online app then ur safe they will ask her to contact the agency if she is accepted alliecat post above also helpful. Just wait for the response try also national guard health affairs they offer good salaries
OK, I appreciate the help and thanks Alliecat for the verification.

I just started KFSH this week. (From USA). I don't have a lot of info regarding the actual units. However, if you wife is interested, I may be able to give her a little info and/or find her a person on the applicable unit to talk to. What is her specialty? I do like it so far. And depending on her specialty, there probably is openings.

Kara;
Thanks for the response. My wife works in the ER but she would like to try the ICU or Pediatrics if possible. Her e-mail address is: katherine.taylor79@yahoo.com. I'm sure she would appreciate any information you can give her. It would also be nice to have someone that she can look forward to meeting when she gets here.
Thanks

I am looking to me medical stuff who is living in the Mc and McX.
Kind regards

I am Australian working here as a doctor at University-hospital in Riyadh. I have been here for the last few months.
Life here is very new and strange for me, so you can say I am struggling to survive. I don't know people here and I don't have any friends. I would love to meet expats here in particular medical staff in MC and Mcx
Kind regards
Robert...
This thread is old I think, but hopefully someone of you are still around. I have a few questions if someone doesn't mind. I don't mean to be rude by posting on someone else's thread.
I am female though coming with my husband and kids to Jeddah to live on the King Faisal, Amoudia compound. From what I gather, single ladies live in their own section. Is this right? If so, can ladies living in the family housing section come to swim in the single ladies only pool? Also is there a gym only for ladies? I am Muslim so I don't swim in front of men in public but would LOVE to go swimming in a ladies section and work out in a gym etc. Is this going to be possible? Can I just walk over or is there some sort of security or something that would not allow me to use the single ladies facilities? Is there a also a female only beauty salon?? That would be a dream to have on site. I have a lot of little kids so leaving the compound at my whim for something as simple as a hair cut is giant challenge!!
thanks!
