How many books did you read in Riyadh?

I've just asked the same exact Q to a colleague who's been here in Riyadh for almost 11 years,and guess what was his answer !!! NONE ! OMG !!!

I average 2 books a month,that's 24 a year, around 16800 pages in 356 days (Aliecat as a math teacher can fact check lol ; plus 7 tweets a day (minimum), on top of my busy work and community involment, and when someone tells me he did not open a single book in 11 years, that's just beyond any imagination.

So for you this time, how many books did you read since you arrived to Riyadh?

I would guess if people are busy reading EB the whole time they don't leave much spare time for book reading

I don't read all that much but have gotton hooked onto Janet Evanovich and her Stephanie Plum series, they are laugh out loud reads

Well, come ON.. you know I'm one!!

I average a book a month (from re-reading classics like Animal Farm to current like Eat Pray Love).聽 I also do a lot of online reading to keep up with current events (Time Magazine online, BBC, Arab News, etc.).

I skipped the movie because I thought the whole thing would be handled in a trite way to appeal to mass consumption.聽 But I was just home and while perusing a used-book store (yes, one of my favorite activities and yes, on my annual leave lol) I saw the novel for a buck so figured, why not?聽 I'm only to the second part (India) so far but it's a good read, introspective as well as entertaining.

Are we talking about any kind of book or just best sellers and such? I like to mix things, I tend to read ebooks regarding things I wanna know, like codes, self help, emag, DIY and tutorials. I have tons of ebooks that's why I decided to buy a tablet just for that purpose only. I avarage 1 topic a week.

I have like 4 GB of e-books that I'm collecting for the past 3 years. And have read about 8-9. My target is to read them all before I leave this country for another!

Yeah I have. Google ebooks+free+download, and this website comes up.

I've downloaded many books from gutenberg. Oh I loved books, until internet really became cheap
