Best GPS APP???

Dear EB Members

I have a car now but i am still not familier with the directions of places so i thought their must be some GPS Sat Nav for Riyadh i can put on my Samsung S3 any suggestions as to which one i should use??

googlemaps?聽 It's already on your phone, has navigation function.聽 Save maps for offline usage.

Actually navigation apps provide much more than the Maps apps. They are related but not equivalent to each other.

I have used many navigation apps. Wisepilot was something I used last time. It kept me happy for the days I used it out of KSA. I found their pricing scheme convincing. Just $3 for a month. Enjoy your vacation with it for a month then consider paying in your next vacation.

Googlemaps should be good.
If you want more sophisticated navigation then go for GPS devices, garmin for example.
You can pay a visit to cars decoration area in downtown and find many of these systems.

Cygic seems to be a popular choice for "free" (pirated) GIS navigation.

Google maps are OK at best.

I have found Nokia OVI to be the best considering ease of use, breadth of coverage etc.

Google maps was surprising fine for a trip we did today. Street names came up, turns came up, and distances were accurately expressed... It did the job.

I bought, Tomtom, but new googlemaps seems to have outclassed it. Bought it for 99$ so still usign it
