Secret Lake 20-30 km near Riyadh

I heard there is some "secret lake" near Riyadh. its about 20-30 kms far from the city.

Does any one has some idea where all the lakes in Riyadh are located?

I think it was their earlier ... but it has been removed and now pay to know the co-ordinates....聽

If you find it, please let me know... The last update from the blog was in 24th January mentioning that its full of clean water... Me too interested going there...聽

You can go there. It's risky though coz of stippy rocks..not recommended for kids..

I have gone there.. May be you are talking about a cave.. Al Heet Cave.. it is a good adventurous place. I have its pictures as well

it won't be a secret if i told you

but if that what you mean , it is located close to thumamah, when you drive thumamah road (west) the last circle go left , drive about 2 km it is somewhere around there, i went with a friend and was surprised , hope you find it

So far it seems the location of this lake is outside North of Riyadh. Kharaj is outside South of Riyadh.

am not sure if you are familiar with riyadh, because kharj is not even remotely close to thumamah, it's on the very opposite side夭

I went there yesterday followed these coordinates... It was an awesome place... But that lake is not there...i heard The secret lake i m talking about is 20-30 kms from defence quarters

If you want to see some water/lake in the city... you can try wadi namar. Its a beautiful place.

I went both Secret Lake/Blue abaya lake (24.657708N, 46.450631E near Dhahrat Al Laban) and Kararah Lake (24.406145N, 46.244322E near Muzahmiya) last week and it's completely dry.

Secret Lake/Blue abaya lake:

It is located in the mountain area. You'll find lots of butchers selling meat. All are Sudanese/Ethiopians. When asked about Secret Lake, one of them told me that water gets collected ONLY when it rains but as of now there is no such lake (only rocks). I don't recommend this place to visit because of the dangerous driveway. I forgot to take pictures but I'll upload a similar picture just to make you understand how the roadway is.

Kararah Lake :

There are traces of lake existence but it is completely dry. Although this place is being used as desert safari for FJ's and Land Cruisers. I saw a lot of families visiting and to be frank I loved this place.

First of all, we have to upload our picture to a third party image hosting site (eg; postimage[dot]org).
Once successfully uploaded, you'll be provided with a link.

I didn't go there yet. I heard it is dry now... and my friends who went there told me its a boring place... so I dropped the plan to go there as if now... check out my Instagram page to see the pix of Riyadh.
