Dear Friends,

i have B.com 2 years degree.in my scopa account show Associate Membership Status.. But in Remarks Column show Certificate verification is in progress..

is this any issue..

are ok..

Hi Waseem. Maybe your Membership is only Temporary Associate Member. Remarks Column must be "Accepted" to become Permanent Associate Member.

is there in anyone got "Permanent Associate Member"

in my office 5 colleagues apply last 1.5 year still only 1 got Accepted "become Permanent Associate Member" we four are still in verification....

how many days it will take if any one have any idea please share it...

I got my Associate membership within 3 weeks of applying.聽 However, this was through connections and they fast tracked the verification process.聽聽Now I am going to change my profession .......will let you know how that goes.

Without any connections, it takes 6-8 months to more than a year.

I am also facing same issues regarding membership cancellation. But will socpa renew if go and meet the concern person. As i have degree in Business administration specialized聽 in finance will they accept the credits for below subject

Finnancial Accounting
Financial management
Accounting for management
Indian Financial System
Income tax

A.O.A dear,

need ur guidance.

i have bachelor degree in arts(major subject Economics) having accenting profession. in 2019 after registration in SOCPA, i visited to SOCPA riyadh office, they informed to complete 15 credit hours in accounting from Recognized uni, even they refer me to AOU. I got admission in two courses ,each 8 credit hours.

Financial accounting 8hrs
Certificate in accounting(cost & Management accounting) 8 hrs

in last semester i cleared and got certificate. i uploaded docs on SOCPA, just yesterday i got mail, that there are deficiencies, msg appears on my SOCPa protal (attend accounting,audting,Zaka & tax fellowship courses, which altogether are equivalent 9 credits hours). I really surprised once i saw msg. now they are asking again 9 credit hrs..i spent about 9k fees on above mentioned courses.

please if someone can help me, or to guide me what to do now...

Hello irad and ZII234. I think you need to take Auditing subject. I am already an Associate Member with a Bachelors degree major in accounting. One of my major subject is Auditing (Problems and Theories).

I think you should visit again SOCPA office Riyadh, because all SOCPA exams are in Arabic, like accounting, Audit, Tax, Zakat.

i have one question, if registration cancelled by SOCPA due to credit hours problem, did they active the registration again on request and they give the specific time to complete the credit hours? or registration remained cancelled until complete complete the credit hours

I have a question. If SOCPA membership is cancelled and if the iqama has been renewed till 2022 is the iqama validation is still there till 2022.

I have聽 B,A in Corporate Secretaryship with all Finance subjects(Regular)聽 and Master in commerce &聽 MBA Finance in (Distance)聽 but still SOCPA聽 cancelled聽 and not renewing my Associate Membership even tough i have 12 years working experience as Sr. Accountant in KSA .

Your working experience is irrelevant.聽聽Only your degree matters.

If your degree doesn't cover the finance subjects, they will not approve.聽 Secondly, they are creating problems with distance learning especially when it comes to Bachelor/Master (not professional accounting qualifications) especially when it is from Universities which do not even have a physical campus or are relatively unknown.

Your subjects need to fulfill a certain number of hours.聽 If registration has been cancelled then it means that SOCPA thinks that the number of hours has not been fulfilled.聽聽You need to send them an email with your documents or visit them at their offices to discuss if you think that they did it incorrectly.

I don't have connections myself.聽 My company handled SOCPA/MOHRE for me through their connections.
