Civil Engineer PM, USA Experience Wanting to Move to Istanbul

I am Originally from Pakistan but have live in the USA for 20+ Yrs ,
I am currently working as Project manager in Texas
I am wanting to move to Istanbul and Raise my family (of 3 young daughters)..
I am aware that times are very hard in Turkey so are in Pakistan
and from here on wards so are in the USA.

I want to reach out to expats that are already in Turkey and ask the following questions:
1) What is the best Source for finding a job in Istanbul ?
2) If I want to Start a small business is there any advice ?
3) What Not to do in Istanbul ?

Thankyou for your time and advice

Hi rehanbhatti44,

Thank you for your nice introduction :)

I invite you to have a look at the Living in Turkey guide where you will find more information about work in Istanbul and setting up a business there.

Thanks,

Hello Rehan

1) ( you might need working permit or if its a聽 big company they might get that for you with that 20 years of experience
2) You may try establishing a聽 consultancy company with your exp. it takes 1 day and cheap (about 1k usd ) for company est.
3) Don't trust most of turkish people (I am sorry to say this as a Turk). If you are a woman they want to sleep with you, if you want to make business they see you as a dump investor to get all of your money

good luck bro
