A salary of 45,000 AED per month... Is there room for negotiation?

akal8444

Hello,

I have been offered a job as a professor in Abu Dhabi. We are a family of four (with 9 and 12 years old children).

The package includes,

- Basic Salary - 45,000 AED per month
- Housing allowance- 22,000 AED per month
- Children educational allowance - 45,000 AED per child.
- One time furniture allowance - 60,000 AED
- Annual business class tickets for the four of us.
- Health insurance

I think this is a very good package but I would like to see if I can negotiate the basic salary. Is this acceptable in the UAE?

Thanks for any help.
