New members of the Canada forum, introduce yourself here — 2nd quarter of 2015

Im 22 and currently living on the Gold Coast, in Australia - i am a kiwi... And making the big move to Vancouver by myself in November..
Just awaiting my visa in the next few weeks and everything should be groovy!
I am a 21 year old graphic designer from malta and I am constantly dreaming of moving to montreal. I have heard amazing things about the music and art culture there which sounds incredibly appealing to me science there almost no opportunities where i live in malta.
It seems like such a huge unknown challenge though. i realize that quebec has different and more strict laws about immigration than other places in canada.
what i wanted to know is:
1. am I crazy lol. is this totally unheard of
2. can you survive in montreal with a part time job like a barman or waiter ecc.
3. do you need some kind of visa to work such part time jobs and how hard is it to find these kind of jobs as a foreigner.
Thank you all so so much,

Unfortunately Malta isn't listed as one of the countries that Canada allows for its citizens to apply a working holiday visa.

Apa Khabar. Of course one can work in Canada. As long as you have temporary work permit or a permanent residency visa, then you can work. To apply, you can start off by reading the guides in the guide link above. Or simply engage an certified immigration consultant.
