Expat seniors making friends

I'm interested in living in Queretaro or SMA and seeking info about groups to join for older English speaking women. I'd be moving by myself, with no friends or relatives, so I'd need to find supportive group/activities. I'm not religious and don't speak Spanish yet, though I'm willing to learn. I've read that SMA has become expensive and somewhat dirty. Is this true? And how do older American women make friends there (Queretaro or SMA)? Thanks! I'm so grateful for this forum!

Hello @Big Picture Gal, am moving to Cuernavaca, 4 hours to the south, in DEC this year.聽 There is a cute couple doing a YouTube channel called Gringos R Us you could check out, they seem like fun and live in Queretaro!聽 Sure they could introduce you to people and maybe start with them to begin your networking?聽 All the best of luck and remember, luck= skill+timing!
