Hi, I have a phone interview for a full time position at a US summer camp tomorrow. The employer seems very interested in me and very open to sponsoring me to come over and fill the position. The camp is a non profit special needs camp. Will sponsorship be possible? Are there any problems that I could have?.. Are there any ways around these problems?

You can look into the J1 Young Professional visa, you or your employer will need to find a sponsoring agency and the position should match the criteria for this visa:

Maybe the H3 visa as well, it states:

A petition requesting an H-3 鈥渟pecial education exchange visitor鈥� must be filed by a facility which has professionally trained staff and a structured program for providing education to children with disabilities, and for providing training and hands-on experience to participants in the special education exchange visitor program.聽聽It should include a description of:
鈥he training the foreign national will receive;
鈥he facility鈥檚 professional staff; and
鈥he foreign national鈥檚 participation in the training program.

In addition, the petition must show that the special education exchange visitor is:
鈥earing the completion of a baccalaureate or higher degree program in special education; or
鈥as already earned a baccalaureate or higher degree in special education;聽 or
鈥as extensive prior training and experience teaching children with physical, mental or emotional disabilities.
