How to be happy as an expat in the USA

Cheryl

Hi everyone,

Being happy is surely our common goal, whether we are living in the USA as an expat or somewhere else.
We would love to know your tips and tricks to be fully fulfilled and happy as an expat in your host country.

New environment may require new habits. Which habits did you have to implement to live a good life in the USA?

How do you keep stress in check? Which activities or mantras help you in that regard?

How to form meaningful connections and create a support system in the USA on which you can rely on?

How to track your goals and achieve them without feeling overwhelmed?

What did you learn from Americans about the notion of happiness and how does it inspire you?

Thanks for your contribution!

Cheryl,

I think the best way to feel happy anywhere - don't expect anything  :)  Just do your work, know your values, be kind to other people - we all are humans.
To be specific, I noticed that there are many "freedoms" in the USA - you can do everything you want, you can eat everything you see, you can look as you want - this all seems good, but really, it may cause a lot of obstacles and distractions. You should control your routine and your habits to stay healthy and focused.

Your thinking is so beautiful as you are, in India there is a lot of ladies, which does not have the freedom to read the book, even before and after marriage, she can do something only by asking someone, they're a very complicated life for some girls, I want sometimes seems that girls are not born in India.

I also want some do for me and my happiness, I want some read a special book like shrimad Bhagwat geet. :)
