Horrific Brazilian Airplane Crash Near Sao Paulo!

Anybody know if there were any survivors or how close to the city it was. Also was it an International Flight?

No survivors. 62 dead.....58 pax and 4 crew. 10 pax in the departure terminal survived due to ticketing confusion and missed the flight.


Domestic flight to GRU.


Video online showing a flat spin to impact from 12,000' and commentary on pprune.com and blancolirio.com indicate the probability of a serious known problem with this ATR aircraft, which is ice accumulation on props and control surfaces resulting in a loss of control. This aircraft should have been removed from service decades ago by all airlines due to several fatal incidents.

Make it to 63.. A adorable dog was also traveling in the hold of the plane that crashed. Plane was 14Y old plane and should have been removed from the service roster much earlier but ANAC or Airlines don't care about that and now we see this tragic accident.

I'm traveling with the same company (VOEPASS) from GRU and very much nervous and concerned.
