Surprising aspects of life in major Brazilian cities (testimonials)

Hi everyone, I'm a content writer for Expat Magazine, and we're currently seeking testimonials for an upcoming article. If you are (or have ever been) an expat in a major Brazilian city, what aspects of life there surprised you the most? Whether it鈥檚 the city's urban planning, traffic levels and parking spaces, public transport and use of technology, variety of caf茅s and restaurants, museums and art scene, green spaces/parks, how cosmopolitan (or not) the city felt, or anything else. Thank you in advance for sharing your experience with us, and we wish you a wonderful holiday season.

@alan279 Good Question. I have to take a pass. I am totally living in a Small non-major village of only 2,500 people.

You know your small when the neighborhood Bull jumps your fence and roams around your swimming pool, house and porch before being chased off of the premises by your two Guard Dogs.

@roddiesho

I grew up in a town in Missouri with a population of 1,700.

@alan279 You Won,

though I have to believe that if our neighborhood Bulls start acting up, we may lose some population.

I usually don't talk about my early life, but my natural mother, before she passed away when I was 5, was a PHD graduate at Brown University. In R.I. we sometimes think of RISD as its sister school.聽 i never really wanted to follow in her footsteps and go to that Ivy League school, but I have always wondered how it would have been to have studied Animation at RISD where Seth McFarlene, as a student first created Family Guy.
