Not much you can do, especially electronics.
The manufacturer would have paid the tariff and then you would pay the taxes.
Electronics and automobiles have around 60% taxes to import, then the buyer pays taxes when buying.

That's a pretty typical tax burden on imported manufactured items, particularly electronics.  "Free trade" has never been a term that translates well into Brazilian Portuguese. 💸💸💸

Importing products is a pain.... I have friends who come and visit so when I  want something real bad I have it shipped to them and they bring it.... or I use Mercado Livre... there are lots of products  now available on that site, good selection of merchants, and I had quick delivery, great service, lots of free shipping....and fantastic customer service which is hard to find in Brazil.

Agreed.  Amazon US makes it easier, by charging for taxes and duties upfront.  I've had very bad luck importing any other way, and prefer to get anything I can locally because of that.

Nothing new here, it's always been that way and it is this way in most countries.  The USA is no different, when they decide to check on your packages there, you will also pay duty.

What country does not add duty and or taxes to imported goods? Most certainly the USA imposed the same types of fees and taxes:  (3%25).

True -- but Brazil has been notoriously protective for a very long time.  For example, the average import duty on home electronics, including computers, in the United States is about 35%.  In Brazil, the total import tax payable at the port of entry, including II (Imposto de Importação, the actual tariff), ICMS (VAT, generally payable to the state) and IPI (Tax on Industrial Products), and sometimes a few others, easily adds up to 100% or more.
