Yup,
You can even buy a John Deere lawn tractor. Cost about as much as a compact car back in the states. You will note that power tools are very expensive. But, their are some nice, new modern hardware stores, usually connected with the major malls.

Yes, there are at least five in Cotacachi alone.聽 No Home Depot, but you can get what you need as far as basic hardware. They are all over the place...
