My girlfriend makes dolls. I can send photos if you like. There's also some very interesting baskets in the area I'm in. This place is very rural, so prices for local crafts haven't gone crazy like in the tourist markets.

mikeey

Thanks, I'm very interested in rural arts and crafts, how would you send pictures snail mail or e-mail?
I will pay a fair price as long as it  works in my store!
Regards,MIKE

The email you provided above, of course. I'll take photos next time I see anything that might be of interest. The folks in this area usually turn the baskets into strange backpacks by weaving two straps onto the basket. I think they are made out of a fiber from a local plant that looks like a giant alo vera. They're really strong. I just hiked with a couple guys that were using one. They packed 2 liters of water, a big pot of rice and beans, a sharpening stone for their machetes, and a couple blankets, and proceded to hike up a cliff. They are usually brown, but I've seen them in bright reds, yellows, and greens.

mikeey

Looking forward to the pics!
