Hmmm your reply hints strongly that you believe Trump is Fascist or will become Totalitarian.  Peoole's use of the term Fascist hides that the basic meaning of the has morphed into an epithet to demonize Trump.  It is hard to imagine right now what a Pence or other future Republican administration would be like. Maybe Trump is the effigy that some want to burn but is the burning hatred really aimed at Trump or his idealogical soulmates.  Could be that the vitriol is aimed at Trump's voters?

I don't hate Trump followers, I pity them for having fallen into a cult. At the same time, I fear them for what they applaud, which is a  desperately dangerous sociopathic new world order in which the government is San tío Ed to be overtly cruel to its most vulnerable members. The suffering and death of over 225 000 human beings in their midst is celebrated or viewed as acceptable losses for an anarchist freedom to oppress others. Their leader emulates and has set himself up to be a dictator equal to others in power around the globe--Erdogan, Putin, Modi, etc. One thing I never understand about Trump followers is that they do so despite constantly being reminded of Trump and other Republicans' utter contemp for them except as one vote toward complete collapse of the Relublic.
