Homeschooling in Uruguay

Hello all,

My little guy is approaching school age and we鈥檇 really like to homeschool him. This may be our make or break in terms of making Uruguay our permanent home.

My understanding is that it is not legal. Does anyone know of any legal workarounds or exceptions?

Hello,

I understand that home schooling is very important to you.聽 So far I have not met anybody who is doing home schooling in Uruguay.聽 But I could try to find someone.聽 I know of at least one parochial school, that had to apply for a license and feels certain it will get it.聽 They wiil have to prove that their students attain the same minimum level of knowledge that students of publich schools are required to reach.聽

Please let me know if I should investigate further.聽 It may take a few days though.
