I come from Albertville in Savoie. At 52, benefiting from a modest civil servant pension, with my wife, we decided to sell our house in France and buy land in Turkey to build a new house. Having spent several years of summer vacation in Turkey, our choice of land was on the southern coast of Turkey, between Antalya and Mersin, opposite the island of Cyprus, in a small village very close to the town of Anamur. This choice was made to move away from major tourist migrations. We were looking for sun, calm, mountains and sea. We have lived here for twelve years. We were wonderfully welcomed and accepted by those around us. We learned the basics of the Turkish language ourselves with the help of some French-speaking Turkish friends. With our two doggies, we enjoy each other very much. On a plot of 2600m虏, we have built a pleasant house with a swimming pool integrated into the building. A small vegetable garden and an orchard with numerous fruit trees provide us each season with essential organic products for our daily consumption. We also make numerous trips which allow us to visit each region of 罢眉谤办颈测别 very specifically. We enjoy every day the mild weather of this micro-climate of Anamur because it is here that bananas are grown at the highest latitude in the world.
