Arrived in the US at the beginning of 2014 under a K-1 visa, I have since lived in what is called Amish County in Pennsylvania. Well, ok, it's less glamorous than the palm trees of Florida or the skyscrapers of New York and we sometimes have snowstorms that bring more than a meter of snow in one night but at least it doesn't have earthquakes or water shortages and the people are nice... that's already a lot ^^
