When I retired, I left the Marseille region to settle on the island of Reunion, a decision taken very quickly after 2 short stays on the island which enchanted me in many aspects, sumptuous and very varied landscapes, very diverse climates, you can be cold in the mountains in winter, but bathe all year round in temperate water, mixed population, of Hindu, Chinese, African, metropolitan origin, different cultures and religions which are respected. No stress, no aggression, more good humor and friendliness than in mainland France. Having made my nest there and enjoying it immensely, I have no plans to return to mainland France.
