Hello, I have lived in Martinique for 40 years and my husband and I want to go to Portugal at the end of 2015, we love the Algarve and we are making a trip again at the end of March to see if it is easy to find a house to rent for a year because we would like to see several towns before buying. As we live by the sea, we would like to find a housing estate in a small, quiet town, where life is good. We are going to learn Portuguese, and as I am a volunteer in Martinique in an animal shelter, I would like to have contact with people who have dogs, to find out if they are well accepted and why not volunteer in a shelter in Portugal. We will be in Portugal from March 22 to 31, if it were possible to meet expats so that they can explain to us a little what to do and not to do, that would be great.
