Hello, Guten Tag, Hello! I am Holy, French expatriate in Kiel (northern Germany). I tell you about our German adventure on my blog www.anyholyidea.com. Kiel? Kesako? It is a city located in the north of Germany, on the edge of the Baltic Sea, above Hamburg, capital of the Land (federal state) of Schleswig-Holstein. I'm not going to repeat the description from Wiki? From my point of view and after 10 years of Parisian life, Kiel is the countryside with the sea to boot. It is very cold in winter: for an islander this point is problematic but, fortunately, the inhabitants are friendly and the area is very pleasant. Very quiet during the day (you can hear the seagulls), ideal for strolling on foot or by bike, in the evening, you have to go to the different pubs/Kaffees/restaurants in the city to find the 鈥淕erman party people鈥�: beers, sausages, curry, potatoes and Majtesfilet (Herring?
