Thank you for your welcome. I am from Alsace, Bas-Rhin. Taoism and Asia attracted me very young. First stay in Viet-Nam in 1995, rather by chance, and yet I very quickly felt at home there, and only left to always return. Ai lives in Saigon in D1, in Binh Tanh, in D9, in Thu Duc, and in the Tra Vinh region. Got married, and had cafes, restaurants, shrimp and fish farms, rabbits, dogs...etc. I was less interested in the geographic VN (but maybe one day) than in the study of the deep Vietnamese mentality, habits and customs, urban and rural culture and traditions, cuisine, daily life... We can say that I am "integrated". This served me well, less today: Modern Viet Nam above all wants to participate in globalization, and neglects the past and its particularities. We cannot blame it for that. (but sad nonetheless). I will gladly and frankly answer all your questions, to the best of my abilities.
