Currently single. I have lived in my house, in Spain, for 6 years with a 36-year-old Pakistani boy (1981) who has been a legal resident in the US for 20 years (and in Spain for 12). We were living as a de facto couple, and we had firm civil wedding plans in Spain (with an approved marriage file and a date set for early 2017). He canceled the wedding when his sister-in-law from Pakistan informed me by WhatsApp a couple of months before our wedding that he was going to marry his cousin-sister in Pakistan, voluntarily, out of obedience to his mother and not to dishonor his family. He even tells me the day and everything about the wedding! I ask him for explanations and he says that it is true and that he cannot cancel it because she is his first cousin and that I have to accept it, there is no option to cancel or divorce. He says that he does not know her nor does he ever speak with his cousin, that he does not love her as a woman, that he loves me, but that his obligations to his family are these. I refuse to accept this, that he has children with her and that he travels 3 months a year to Lahore. Since in the end he travels and gets married on the date that his sister-in-law told me, I will not welcome him back into my house and I break all contact with him, his sister and family.
