I live in Bucharest for about 6 months a year, my wife is from Bucharest and we commute between Palermo and Bucharest. I can't say enough good things about Romania, I've been visiting it since 2010 and in the last few years a lot has changed and I believe it will change a lot. The city is increasingly lively and full of tourists, both for low cost flights and for the curiosity to get to know this land. In Italy I was an antiques dealer, after the crisis I undertook a trade channel with Romania, in particular Bucharest, now I collaborate with a real estate agency. Anyone who needs furnished accommodation in the center with all comforts, even for a short holiday, can write to me about it.

Living in Romania is like living in Italy in the 70s, you lived better even with little money. The difference is the wave of evolution that Bucharest in particular has undergone with the many multinationals that have invested in large projects facilitated by the tax regime. Cheerful, fun city at all hours, non-stop shops everywhere, to go shopping, eat, wash and change car tires even in the middle of the night, incredible but true Discos with free entry, lots of safety and lots of fun for young people. Large parks and lots of greenery, it is easy to move around the city with efficient and economical public transport
I miss Sicilian cuisine a bit, in the big supermarkets you can find everything from all the cuisines of the world. But certain products subject to short expiration dates cost a fortune. So I take advantage of the Romanian food to shed a few extra kilos
