About

I married a Filipina living in Belgium. She introduced me to her country and convinced me to go and live there. We are now completely settled there. With our experience of settling here, my wife and I now specialize in helping foreigners who want to settle in the area: find land or a house; administrative procedures, search for a serious builder, etc.

For the moment, life is more like an annuitant, while waiting for retirement age. Preparing for the construction of a villa with a few chalets for friends and/or to make a "guest house". A few other projects in the drawers.
Living warm all year round, reasonable cost of living, helpfulness of the local people, an adorable wife who knows the European soul well having lived there for more than thirty years, the chance to have adorable in-laws. Splendid and sometimes spectacular corners of nature. Ease of adaptation because majority Christian population, Latin alphabet, learning of English widespread in schools.
Very ugly and very congested cities, absence of any effective urban planning, not many historical monuments (the country has not known a great civilization which has left lasting vestiges), way of leading the natives.

A first life as a couple from which came four nice girls, now women.
Profession in real estate. Banal, without much interest. Which is why I decided to put an end to it.
My children and soon grandchildren, of course and above all. The succession of seasons, the cultural richness of the country and its neighbors, the ease of traveling (when there are neither too many traffic jams nor too many strikes), an oh-so-efficient banking system. And finally, last but not least, good food.
The cold of winter (and often also of summer), the high cost of living, the perpetual stress, the complications of lots of things. An economic crisis which promises to be very difficult to overcome and which will put many people in a delicate situation.
