Since 2009, I have shared my life between France and Slovakia (Spisska Nova Ves). I am looking for any useful and cordial contacts with French people, and/or Slovaks speaking fluent English or French, established in Slovakia, preferably in the SPIS region, and already residing/working in Slovakia. The general idea is to pool our experiences and useful practical information to better live/integrate in Slovakia.

I have just bought a house in Spisska Nova Ves where I am currently establishing my new home.
The human size of this city. Proximity to nature (Tatry & Slovak Paradise). Affordable prices. Welcoming and friendly Slovaks. The youth of the population. Without forgetting the very pretty young Slovak women....
The vestiges of communism, the industrial wastelands, the slum villages of the gypsies...

I spent my life there until the age of 54.
The food, the diversity of landscapes (sea, mountains, countryside), the history, the historical monuments, the regional diversities, the pleasant climate.
France is a beautiful country, unfortunately currently populated by a majority of imbeciles and leaders who are not at all up to the national and global challenges for this country.
