About

Good morning. I live in South Korea in Seoul. I spent 1 year in Thailand before in Phuket, then I moved to Bangkok where I lived there for 1 year as well. Now I am in Seoul to gain new professional experience. I regularly seek to expand my professional network and friends as well. I like meeting new people and discussing our journeys. There are always good tips to share both for everyday life and professionally. Do not hesitate to contact me!

My expat journey

Seoul, South Korea

Since Jul 2014

Seoul, South Korea

I would like to continue my professional experience in the hotel industry in this country to be able to acquire new skills and master the Korean language because I plan to stay in Asia for a long time and having this experience will hopefully enrich my CV in my future (or not) countries in Asia.
I work in a 5-star hotel in the Gangnam district.
The seriousness and rigor of Koreans, the healthy and excellent food, the quality of life, well-being in general (like in many Asian countries), the opportunities there are and the excellent salaries to be earned.
For the first time in Asia (I compare especially with Thailand) I feel more racism towards Europeans. Koreans are very proud. The quality of housing and their prices.

Bangkok, Thailand

Since Oct 2012

Bangkok, Thailand

I live in an apartment. My main project is to evolve within my company, and to stay long term in Thailand. I have traveled almost everywhere in Thailand from north to south, east to west, by car, by bus, by boat, by plane, etc. :) Also in Asia, for example: South Korea, Singapore, Laos, Malaysia, Shanghai.
I work in the hotel industry with positions of responsibility. I came to Thailand having a job when I arrived.
I like meeting new people of all nationalities, I like Thai culture, food, nightlife in Bangkok, for example night markets, restaurants and street food open 24 a day, trendy bars, parties in hotels. I like the climate, spending a weekend on an island or in the mountains to go hiking. I like the respect for others in Thailand, both in terms of religion, culture and personality.
The mentality is very different from time to time, so sometimes it is difficult to be understood or to do something correctly. The 鈥渇oreign鈥 鈥淔arang鈥 side which is sometimes intoxicating. The overly materialistic side.
