In Latin America for 15 years, recently retired, I settled in Panama. I live in an apartment complex near Coronado with the Pacific Ocean nearby. Panama, although prices are rising in sought-after locations, remains very affordable (I estimate 40% cheaper than France today) and allows you to live a more pleasant retirement.
