Born in Lievin (in the settlements) on 01/20/1954, Pas-de-Calais, son of a miner. Volunteered at the age of 18.5 in the French Navy on August 21, 1972. I spent four years with the squadron escort Forbin which accompanied the Jeanne-d'Arc from 1974 to 1976 and from 1977 to 1979, so out of these 4 years, two years outside France, also two distant one-year campaigns in Djibouti, one from 1979 to 1980 on the Aviso escort commander Riviere and the other from 1983 to 1984 on the Jules Verne. I put down my bag on June 1, 2000 after 28 years at sea with 47.5 years, in almost 130 stopovers around the world. I met my wife on January 1, 1976, married on Terre Rouge in 1980. We lived 26 years in Brittany, in Brest and in St Servais. We have lived in Mauritius since February 16, 2006.
