Hello, I am a Swiss living in Mauritius since January 2007. I came to live here for professional and private reasons. My boss offered me a position here, and as my boyfriend is Mauritian, I accepted straight away. But before coming to settle here, I went back and forth for more than 16 years between Switzerland and Mauritius. My first stay on the island dates back to 1992, and since then, I have always come 1 to 3 times a year, accumulating a little over a year and a half of residence before residing there for good. We are very happy here, even if life is not always easy, and for the moment, we are not planning to return to Switzerland...
