Anyone had any luck with visa photos taken yourself (like with a phone camera or a usual camera), not in a photo studio? I'm applying online and have read it's possible to use a DIY photo. Any tips or warnings?

As long as you follow all the rules and requirements (looking straight into camera, the background is plain white, camera at the eye level, etc) you'll be fine. You can use apps or programs for cropping ID photos, something like Passport Photo maker ... Read More
