Visa Extension requirement

Hello. Is there anyone here with a residence permit obtained through investment in an apartment over $50,000?

I’m interested in what proof is required when renewing the permit after one year — specifically, how to show that I can financially support myself and my wife.

We are not retired, so I’m wondering if we also need to have a certain amount of money in the bank.

Good day!

Yes, it is possible to obtain a renewable residence permit in Egypt by investing in real estate valued at a minimum of US$50,000. This investment qualifies you for a one-year residency permit, which can be renewed indefinitely as long as the investment is maintained .

Investment Tiers and Corresponding Residency Permits

    •    US$50,000: Qualifies for a 1-year renewable residence permit.

    •    US$100,000: Qualifies for a 3-year renewable residence permit.

    •    US$200,000: Qualifies for a 5-year renewable residence permit.

These permits are contingent upon the property being registered in Egypt’s official real estate registry. It’s important to note that only about 8% of Egyptian properties are registered, so due diligence is essential when selecting a property .
