Traffic between Maadi and New Cairo

Hi,
We're moving to Cairo next september and we're planning to live in Maadi. My husband will be working in New Cairo. We're wondering how much time does it take to go from Maadi to New Cairo? If my husband leaves home at 8am and leaves the office at 7pm ?

Actually it varies from (day)听 to another..

for example:
A day like Thursday known as the busiest & crowded day on the roads in Egypt..
Yes it would take from 45-60 minutes

Hi Nina,

Usually in the week days it will take minimum 1 hour in the peak time, which is between 7 and 9 in the morning and 4 or 5 to 7 or 8 in the evening. In the weekends it's better.

hi mrs. Nina how are you and welcome to Cairo
it is not long time between Maadi and new Cairo just 15 minute by car but sometimes there are traffic maybe it be 40 minute. really live in Maadi is better than new cairo
