I was wondering if I could retain my citizenship to the United States so that when I come back home to visit, there is no problem.聽 Is this option available?

Yes, Ghana allows dual citizenship. You can Google how to become a Ghanaian citizen for the requirements needed

Absolutely true, I concur to the fact that Ghana allows dual citizenship, you just have to be vigilant and alert so as not to be swindle with fake authorization and paperwork. I'd suggest you hire a renowed attorney who is a specialist in citizenship law to explain in details to you about retaining your USA citizenship as well as the Ghanian citizenship
