We are from Zim and the UK. We lived here from 2004-2007 and now we鈥檙e back in Nairobi! Been here for about 3 months and starting to settle in. Found a house, will import a car soon (I hope!) and generally ironing out all the creases! Joined this forum looking for friendly faces and a bit of banter!

Coming from berlin, we will be moving to nairobi as a family of 4 in two weeks.

As far as i know you are allowed to import a vehicle tax free once.

conditions: I must be registred under your name for at least a year, right hand steering and not older then 8 years..correct me please 馃檹馃徎

Two vehicles - are you on a diplomatic passport? We sold our uk vehicle in the uk and are now importing from Japan - tax and duty free.

How will you manage a tax and duty free vehicle import?聽 Genuinely interested as we are shortly returning from the UK and our car is just over 8 yrs (from yr of registration), so will be looking to buy a vehicle.
