Hey there, I am coming back to the free Libya in a week and wonder how the job opportunities are.聽 I see that Libyan Investment is no longer in service online and want to know if there are any other libya job sites around to seek employment.聽 Have the foreign companies come back in and opened their offices? thanks.

I have lived in Libya on and off for the past 15 years.聽 I was laid off from my last job a week before the Libyan uprising.聽 I am now in Toronto and returning to my second home.

Great so you have good experince in Libyan community anyway i scare to retour again esecillay after bad feedback about ex workers who visit tripoli last week but ti be good and safe more soon and i am sure it is kind of brave if u return in current time and amy be that support me to go ahead and return again after long time confusion about return to Libya or not.

Although the situation in libya seems to be more stable but i still have no courage to go back there but i plan to be back there again in the near future.

@Sossa i was hesited like you and i take long time to think if i back to Libya or not but finally i decied to back to Libya and take this risk although i had offer to work in Kuwait but i chhoice back to Tripoli and i wish it will be safe as people said.

(1) what's the best way for a foreigner to find a job in Libya? (2) what was looking for a job like before the revolution?, and (3) how do you think the job scene for foreigners will change in post-revolution Libya? (4) I got the sense that the oil&gas industry was the only job option for foreigners true/false? ...

O&G, hospitality, Construction, education, medical........ many fields have foreign workers.

Depending upon you area of expertise, locate the relevant companies that are doing business in Libya and approach with with your CV for any opportunities that are open for Libya.

How do you plan to get paid and pay your bills exactly once you find your job? I hear the banks are kaput!

Banks are working fine, ATM's are about 50%, getting better weekly

Hi everybody,

Happy to see the arab countries changed .I hope that libya will develop it economy and democracy.Im a quality manager. worked in an international companies and Oil refinery .I want to move there Next month. i look for working at petroleum companies and /or teaching french .If some one can help me to find a job or know some job websites concerned this country,send me it pls .thanks in advance .
