We are finally here - arrived last week and so far things are going great - this is a very beautiful country.聽 I was wondering if there are any toddler groups or organised play groups for my 2 year old.聽 We are staying in Tamarin, Black Rock and would love to get out and meet people.聽 Was also wondering if there was any SOuth African group here in Mauritius as I know there are many South Africans living here.聽 Any info would be fantastic.聽

Thanks for all those who sent me info while I was in Dubai and trying to find out info about Mauritius, it was greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to Mauritius!!!!. We will meet up some day to catch up on news from Dubai. There are many South Africans in Mauritius, my office collegue is an South African. She too is new and looking for South African friends.

Hope you settle in well, there are supposed to be many South Africans in that area, sorry I don't know of any groups. Maybe try that big pub that is on the way out of Tamarin towards Flic en flac?
