This place Taghazoute 30 minute bus ride from Agadir is a well known surfing resort
What is the current situation regarding the sewage problem there
Is it now safe health wise

Actually good question as I鈥檝e booked to spend a fortnight here soon. Is the sea as clean as it looks in all the photos. Also What鈥檚 the chance agadir airport will be open soon for international arrivals ?

Hi. There are quite a lot of surfing cities in Morocco. Agadir, safi just naming a couple.

However. The sewage situation throughout most of Morocco is very good. Not seen any leaking or dumping in any seas in all my years of being here.

If your concerned about the sea being polluted with sewage then you won鈥檛 find that issue in Morocco Thankfully. Morocco prides it self with tourist聽 and surfing and fishing so the marine and waters are usually very well maintained.

Taghazoute Is actually one of the cleanest and most amazing beaches in Morocco. You will enjoy it a lot. Especially the sunset.

Moroccan Airspace has not yet officially open. However they are starting聽 preparations聽聽they might not open all airports to try and control the inbound passengers to prevent spread of covid. But more news will

Hi Jimmy.

From my visit last year and this year I do not see any issues with sewage nor any issues with the sea.

The beaches are clean and the sea water for surfing is excellent.

I cannot comment on the local housing sewage鈥檚 as I do not live there but from my stay I cannot see any issues.

Unless there are issues that have not been mentioned recently I stick by my review and comments.

Please do share any article on the sewage issues or sewage issues within the sea? Yes in 2019 there was issues but was resolved.

This is a big problem which is discussed on the TripAdvisor forum.聽 I have visited this location and spoken to holiday makers experiencing symptoms of sea pollution.

May I ask when the last time you visited this city?
I鈥檓 sorry you have experienced it in a negative way. Al my years as a expat living in morocco never have I experienced what your describing in any beach even in Mohammedia where the old oil refinery is located聽 (on the sea) and nor have I experienced it in Taghazoute
I have amazing pictures of this beach and sea and one of the best beaches in Morocco.

Th茅 articles on trip advisors as a small amount of people with comments on bad experience but 100鈥檚 of more
Posative feedback also.

People are entitled to their views and feedback and experience but I would not say it鈥檚 polluted at all.

I've been there too. I didn't have a great experience, but that could be "the food bug" that most tourist get when they come to Morocco. I don't know though...I kinda liked the scene in Essaouira is better.

Sorry to hear this. Beside that what was your overall impression of the beach?

Essouria is also amazing place to visit small and quite. Seafood is amazing as always.

But my favourite is Oualidia. One of the most amazing beaches and amazing places to eat.

Tagh is more built up, it's jammed. And it's a dry town. Could never live there. Essaouira is spread out, flat land. The beach is very large and Clean, not built-up, and when the tide goes out its perfect for running..the boardwalk works too. To me the quality in restaurants, the ease to find alcohol, and the night life scene is better. Essaouira is FULL of artists, too. The passion of design in the shops, restaurants, accommodations, art studios. Really good. I could be bias, but I don't think so...I admit I'm more of a kitesurfer than surfer.聽 But to be honest there are Good surf options in both spots, Essaouira spots are more "secret" and secluded if you're not a beginner, but for advanced tagh is most notable considering the surf comps there. I also love Essaouira because the airbnb's in the countryside are amazing! Vanity Fair of Morocco.

Wow I am sat in Taghazout writing this. The sea is lovely the people are lovely but this has to be the dirtiest beaches I have ever seen. The stench of raw sewage flowing past the rocks is unbearable as is the sight of plastics of different kinds. Water bottles, soft drinks everything. The locals (sorry I can鈥檛 see many obvious聽 foreigners ) just seem to throw anything and everything without regard. Yes if you walk in the direction of tamaraght or the other way it鈥檚 a little cleaner but something has to be done about the local beach itself. Such a shame
