Hi all,

How long does it typically take for the 'Office des Changes' to process an international payment from MAD to EUR?
I've been waiting on some insurance money from a Casablanca based insurance company for almost 4 months now.
They said that they're still waiting on the 'Offices des Changes' to process their request.
Are they bs-ing me or does it really take that long (maybe due to Covid) to process the payment?

It depends on what the funds are for.
Morocco has a controlled currency. The clearlence time depends on factors including the type of funds and proof of reason for transfer, and you.

It's insurance money from when my father died recently.
How long should it take in your opinion?
