Hi all,

We invite all the ones who got married in Senegal or who are about to get married in Senegal to participate in this thread

What are the formalities to get married in Senegal? Is it the same for a couple of foreigners of for a mixed couple (between a foreigner and a native of Senegal)?

Are the procedures complicated?

How long does it take to carry out all the formalities?

Hi All,

I am in urgent need of some advice about what documents I need to marry my Senegalese partner.

I am intending to get my Certificate of No Impediment legalised but will this need to be translated into French?聽 If so, can I get this done in Senegal?

Also, I have my passport but not birth certifcate - is this ok?
