Post-Covid-19 situation in Cambodia

Mickael

Hello everyone,

The COVID-19 pandemic had a huge impact on the world, including on expats' lives. Travel restrictions, business closures, budget cuts, and health measures have created unprecedented challenges for those who have chosen to live in Cambodia.

Now that the pandemic is moderated, expats are adjusting to a new daily routine. So tell us, how is your expat life now:

Are there still any health measures in place in Cambodia? If so, what are they (wearing a mask, barrier measures, etc.)?

Have you noticed any changes in the population's habits or behavior after the pandemic?

What is your new work rhythm: do you still work remotely or are you spending more time in the office?

Have you changed your spending habits? If so, which ones?

Despite this pandemic and its consequences, how do you see your future in Cambodia?

Do you have any advice for other expats and future expats on this new daily life in Cambodia?

Thank you for your contribution.

We just spent 5 weeks in Siem Reap, no restrictions regarding COVID.  Several hotels were still closed.  The locals are hungry for tourism!  It appears the Chinese are starting to come, masses of tour buses are sold out.

Hello Mickael, here the results of the poll between all humans (me) and all animals (1 cat) in my house. The answers inserted in the text.

There are no Covid cases anymore in Cambodia and no restrictions. Funny enough some people keep on wearing masks but it's getting less and less.

Have you noticed any changes in the population's habits or behavior after the pandemic?

I believe people are more often washing their hands than before the pandemic, and that is good in general.

What is your new work rhythm: do you still work remotely or are you spending more time in the office?

I am retired so I'm busy doing nothing and enjoying the last 50+ years of my life1f923.svg

Have you changed your spending habits? If so, which ones?

No change in spending, except more for food to cook in my recently purchased air fryer.

Despite this pandemic and its consequences, how do you see your future in Cambodia?

The same as before, relaxing and enjoying the easy lifestyle in Cambodia.

Do you have any advice for other expats and future expats on this new daily life in Cambodia?

As before, behave, respect the people and the law, don't get involved in politics, enjoy life.

Thank you for your contribution.
