Cambodian Visa's - Essential Information
This is extended easily for three, six or 12 months at various rates when you are in Cambodia. I am not sure if this is availableat the bus crossing as I obtained mine at the airport. Perhaps someone esle can advise the availability at the bus crossing point.
Just make sure that you don't get a tourist visa that cannot be extended for the six months that you want.
If you leave it up do the guy on the bus you will get a torist visa that you cannot extend for six months
$7 is more than adequate.
If you don't agree, save the $7 and do everything yourself...

I need to be in Vietnam for a wedding in late June returning to Cambodia on 27th June.
Does this leave sufficient time to have a renewal of the visa and how long will my I be parted from my passport?
Express visa services , please inbox me for quote ,
Thanks-Ken
The immigration department has become much better recently. There's really no need to use travel agencies any longer, since those usually charge almost $100 commission for an annual visa.

I have been advised that women are treated differently. Agents and business people here both have indicated this to me.
My experience is that the issue is not the country policy but the airline policy.
I was told by Singapore airlines that if they allow you to board and you are denied entry then the airline may have to cover the cost of your return. So I would check it out with the airline you will purchase the ticket to cambodia from.

You are now forewarned - WELCOME!!!!
Good summary; my experience is exactly that !
And make sure that your passport is good for 6 MONTHS past the expiry of the visa you request!!
I ran into this and could only get a 6 month and not 1 year because of that.

Hi Jeffgeo,
Can you please inform us where to pay $7 for the 3, 6 or 12 month renewal ?
Any tourist agent or other ?
Thank you !
Marcelo
One thing I might add - time to process has changed severely.
There is a large influx of chinese at the moment. The visa guy I use says that they are taking 6-8 days to process. Previously they would tell you four days but then it would be done in two. No longer the case.
WMP wrote:Hi, If I get a e-visa before I come to Cambodia, will they still use a full page sticker in my passport ? I am running out of pages, because of this.
In general there must be two pages empty before you enter.
The e-visa (electronic visa) you can staple on a page in your passport so it does not use a full page.
Note that the e-visa is a tourist visa for 30 days and can only once be extended for 30 days, the extension sticker uses a full page.
As outgoing and incoming stamps use already nearly one page, I would suggest to get a new passport, so that there is enough place to put visa stickers.
Good luck.
