Hello All!

My family of 4 (two child) and my spouse will be moving from Houston, Texas to Dalian, China in August聽 2023. We are excited and nervous. My question is that my husband will be traveling on a Mexican passport.聽 We ran out of time to secure his Visa here in the US. China will be bring him and my children on a family visa. Can I expect any problems or issues for his entry into China? This is all new to us.

As long as he's got a valid visa, there shouldn't be a problem. Make sure to bring the employment letters with you in case they ask.

I am a long-term student. In my experience, the border officers don't know much English. So they avoid asking you much unless they have to.

Oh, and make sure to fill out the China COVID declaration on their China Customs app before you enter. It's very easy, and just generates a QR code for you to scan when you get here.
