Thanks for reading my blog, I am checking out what it is like to live in Hong Kong as have been informed recently there is a lot of work out there, in the corporate area and in English education in private schools. 

My partner is a Latin & Classics teacher, so would be looking to work in a private/international school, he has lots of experience and is very good, & I have read that the English school system is the one used in all private schools. I wanted to know what readers think is the best way/route to go about finding out jobs for Latin/Classics Teachers in these type of schools. I work in Project Management and have read that there is alot of work there in this area.

I am from London, England and used to a busy city. I have heard good things about living there. I also want to know what the cost of a nice flat in a good area would be, e.g. 1/2 bed in a good area, close to all amenities, financial business area, schools, city, shops, restaurants etc.

I have been avidly checking out the pod casts on you tube, which look very good, of course we really need to go there to check  it out, but before that,

I am looking for as much information as possible, including:

Day to day costs: Food, travel, taxis, public transport

Cost of clothing, eating out, socialising.

Quality of life compared to London, europe, e.g. crime rates,

What are the good areas to live, average price of flat/house rentals, preferably 2 beds, with possible sea view (pricey I imagine):-)
